Removal of Invasive Species on water catchment area
The work was carried out by Milanosi1 Enterprise, operating as a subcontractor to Contour Enviro Group, within the Wemmershoek Catchment Area. Over a 12 months contract period, the team successfully implemented a high-impact programme involving the cutting and herbicide treatment of alien invasive species across approximately 256 hectares of ecologically sensitive fynbos catchment. The project aimed to reduce invasive plant pressure, support the recovery of indigenous vegetation, and contribute to long-term water security and biodiversity conservation in the area.
Erosion Control & Fire Break Construction
Provided essential land management services including comprehensive erosion control at Lourensford and annual construction of regulatory fire breaks to ensure farm protection and compliance at Dennegeur Farm. These interventions have significantly mitigated soil loss and enhanced fire safety measures, contributing to the overall sustainability and resilience of the agricultural operations.
